SSNB has created a GIS map that syncs with NB Government (GNB) data. This map shows all public (Crown) forest land plots that have been sprayed with herbicides from 1969-2023: (this map will add 2024 data as soon as GNB releases this, likely by July’25
SSNB has also created a ‘Current spray licenses map’. Right now this map shows spray licenses that were issued for the 2024 forest herbicide spray season, which lasted from late July 2024 until November 2024 (spray season ends when the deciduous trees on forest plots have all shedded their eaves, because herbicides work through the leaves to kill deciduous trees). In July 2025 GNB will post spray licenses that have been issued for the 2025 forest spray season.
NOTE: all spray licenses ar posted, also for private and Freehold forest land. HOWEVER, GNB only releases WHAT has actually been sprayed on public (Crown) forest land.
